This is a picture of my Grandfather, Patrick Patton (Patten) at about age 27 with his daughter and my Aunt, Nora Patton (Hassett) at about age 3. The picture was taken in Cleveland, Ohio in about 1910. Patrick had emigrated from Derreens, Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland to Ohio on April of 1903. His parents (my Great grandparents) were John (Sean Mor) Patten and Honoria (Nora) Carney Patten.
Patrick came across on the S.S. Invernia from Queenstown (Cobh) on April 5, 1903 arriving in New York on April 13, 1903. He Married Mary Kelly, Also from County Mayo, on March 6, 1905 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Bridge Avenue in Cleveland (Ohio City). Also attached is a picture of the ship and Manifest, and a picture of Grandpa at about 75, shortly before he died. He died on August 30, 1958 and is buried with Grandma, Next to my Parents, Martin F. Patton and Frances Marie Jackson Patton, at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Avon, Ohio.
